Jour n°1
J'ai quitté la France. Sur le moment, ça n'a pas été aussi difficile que je le pensais. J'ai rejoins le groupe de WEP Belgique à Bruxelles pour être sur le vol Bruxelles-New York car il n'y avait plus de place dans l'avion Paris-New York pour partir avec WEP France. J'ai donc sympathisé avec les belges !
Day 1
I left France. At the time, it hasn't been as difficult as I thought it would be. I joined the WEP Belgium group in Brussels to be on the Brussels to New York flight because the Paris to New York plane was full-booked to leave with WEP France. So I just sympathized with the Belgians !
Arrivée à New York, on me dit : "Devine quoi ? Tu es la seule française ici". En fait, WEP France a dû atterrir à Manchester pour un problème technique. J'ai bien été chanceuse de partir de Bruxelles ! Malgré ça, nous sommes allés dans le centre commercial Jersey Gardens, puis sur Times Square avant de profiter d'une bonne nuit de sommeil.
Jour n°2
Nous avons traversé le Grand Central Station (la fameuse gare ferroviaire de New York !), puis nous sommes allés au Rockefeller Center pour monter au "Top of the Rock". Il y avait une magnifique vue sur Manhattan là-haut ! Nous avons ensuite eu beaucoup de temps libre sur la 5e avenue. Nous avons passé une bonne partie de l'après-midi dans Central Park. C'est incroyable de trouver autant de verdure et de calme dans une ville si grande et bruyante ! Enfin, nous avons traversé le quartier de Harlem en bus pour rentrer.
Après un vol qui a eu encore 1h30 de retard, le groupe de WEP France est arrivé !
Jour n°3
On a commencé la journée par une petite promenade sur la High Line, une ancienne voie ferrée. On s'est ensuite arrêté pour voir le Flatiron Building (j'avoue que c'est une des choses les moins intéressantes que j'aie vue), puis on a traversé Little Italy et la Chinatown pour aller marcher sur le Brooklyn Bridge. On y avait une belle vue sur la ville et la Statute de la Liberté ! On a ensuite pris le Shark Boat pour s'en approcher, et on a tous été trempés ! On a ensuite remonté Wall Street pour atteindre le One World Trade Center avec, à ses pieds, le 9/11 Memorial (Ground Zero). C'était très impressionnant et plein d'émotions de voir ces deux énormes fontaines aux emplacements des deux tours. J'ai vraiment eu la boule au ventre en voyant ça. Pour finir notre visite de New York, on a eu un peu de temps libre autour de Washington Square et Broadway avant d'aller dîner sur Times Square et rentrer.
Juste une dernière chose
Il y a des Starbucks partout ! Beaucoup de Starbucks, tellement de Starbucks, trop de Starbucks ... Mais bon, je ne vais pas me plaindre, ils ont la Wi-Fi gratuite 😂🙊
When I arrived in New York, I've been told : " Guess what ? You're the only French here !". Actually, WEP France had to land in Manchester for an engine problem. I've been lucky to go from Brussels ! But anyway, we went to the Jersey Gardens mall, then on Times Square before enjoying a good night of sleep.
Day 2
We walked through Grand Central Station (New York's famous train station !), then we went to the Rockefeller Center to go up on "Top of the Rock". There was an amazing view of Manhattan up there. Thereafter, we had a long free time on 5th Avenue. We spent most of the afternoon in Central Park. It's incredible to find so much nature and quietness in such a big and noisy City ! Finally, we drove through the Harlem neighborhood with the bus to go back to the hotel.
After a 1h30-delayed flight, the WEP France group arrived !
Day 3
We started the day with a little walk on the High Line, an old part of New York's railroad. Later on, we stopped to see the Flatiron Building (I have to say that it's one of the less interesting things I've ever seen), then we crossed Little Italy and Chinatown to go walking on Brooklyn Bridge. We've had an amazing view on the city and on the Statute of Liberty ! Afterwards, we went on the Shark Boat to get closer to it, and we all have been soaked ! Thereafter we waled through Wall Street to get to the One World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial. It was really impressive et full of emotions to see those two enormous fountains where the two towers used to be. I had a lump in my throat seeing this. To end our visit of New York, we had some free time around Washington Square and Broadway before having dinner on Times Square and going back to the hotel.
Just one last thing
There are Starbucks everywhere ! A lot of Starbucks, so many Starbucks, too many Starbucks ... But I won't complain, they have free Wi-Fi 😂🙊

Nice video about NY ! A cool sight of the most important landmarks in a short time, good summary !
The Flatiron building is to see tho, because of its unique shape in NY, but sure it's not really interesting... For sure the Lego Store in the Rockefeller Center has to be way more interesting
