Après des mois d'attente, j'ai enfin reçu LE coup de fil m'annonçant qu'on avait mon placement ! Je ne peux pas décrire à quel point j'étais heureuse et émue en apprenant que je partait en Californie !
J'irai donc passer mon année à Chico en Californie, à environ 200 km au nord de San Francisco et 150 km au nord de Sacramento. C'est une petite ville de 88 000 habitants.
After months of waiting, I finally got THE call telling me where I will spend the next year ! I can't decide how happy and emotional when I knew that I was going to California !
I am gonna spend the next year in Chico, California. It's located 200 km north of San Francisco and 150 km north of Sacramento. It's a nice town with 88 000 inhabitants.
Les 21 et 22 mai, on a tous été réunis, entre weppiens, pour un magnifique week-end d'orientation (WEO) ! On a enfin tous pu se rencontrer en chair et en os, discuter et surtout bien rigoler !
On May 21st and 22nd, we, weppiens, have all been gathered together to spend an amazing orientation weekend (WEO) ! We've all been able to mette IRL, talk and, over all, have a good laugh !
Le dossier ... Sans doute l'étape la plus longe et pénible à faire. Il faut répondre à beaucoup de question et rempli un tas de papiers, mais c'est l'étape qui nous permet d'avoir la famille d'accueil qui nous correspond le mieux.
The file ... Maybe the the longest and the most difficult step to do. There are a lot of questions to answer and many papers to fill in, but this step guarantees us to have a host family that fits us the best.
L'inscription commence en fait par une pré-inscription.
Lors de la pré-inscription, on doit remplir les informations de base (nom, prénom etc.) et payer un acompte de 100€* pour prouver qu'on est déterminé à faire ce programme d'échange, et que ça n'était pas pris sur un coup de tête.
The inscription actually begins with a pre-inscription.
When we fill the pre-inscription, I had to give some basic informations (name, surname etc.) and pay a 100€*-deposit to prove that we are determined to take part of this exchange program, and that it's a decision thoughtfully taken.
J'ai passé d'innombrables heures à chercher des organismes sur internet, et à éplucher ce qu'ils proposaient. J'ai finalement choisi WEP. J'en ai beaucoup discuté avec mes parents ; s'inscrire à un programme d'échange n'est pas une décision à prendre sur un coup de tête !
I've spent so many hours searching organisms on the internet, and examining what they were proposing. I eventually chose WEP. I talked a lot with my parents about it ; enrolling for an exchange program isn't an easy decision to take !
