En 2 semaines, il s'est passé tellement de choses ! Mais j'ai sans doute vécu les 2 semaines les plus intenses de ma vie.
So much happened during the 2 last weeks ! But I must have lived, without a doubt, the 2 most intense weeks of my life.
Tout d'abord, ce sont Amy (ma mère d'accueil), Daniel et Gabriella (ses enfants) et Webster (un ami) qui m'ont accueilli à l'aéroport ! Le lendemain de mon arrivée, Tatum (la copine de Daniel) m'a fait découvrir un peu la ville. On est allé dans le centre-ville, on a marché dans le parc et à travers Chico State (l'université de Chico). Le soir, on est allé au marché, et j'y ai rencontré ma coordinatrice locale, Joy. Le samedi matin, je suis allée au Farmer's Market avec Amy et il faisait tellement chaud ! J'ai cru que j'allais tomber dans les pommes ! Les jours d'après furent assez calmes, j'avais besoin de me reposer et récupérer le décalage horaire.
First of all, Amy (my host mom), Daniel and Gabriella (her children) and Webster (a friend) welcomed me at the airport ! The day after my arrival, Tatum (Daniel's girlfriend) made me discover the town a little bit. We went downtown, we walked in the parc and through Chico State (Chico's college). In the evening, we went to the market and I met my local coordinator, Joy, there. On Saturday morning, I went to the Farmer's Market with Amy and it was so hot ! I thought I would just faint ! The next days were kind of calm, I needed to rest and get over the jet lag.
En arrivant, j'ai appris qu'on m'avait trouvé une famille d'accueil définitive ! Il s'agit de la famille Weber qui est composée d'Hannah (qui est en terminale), Suzanne et Mike (les parents). J'ai donc rencontré Hannah en début de semaine. Je me suis tout de suite très bien entendue avec elle. Il y a quelques jours, je suis allée chez elle avant d'aller faire mes photos pour le Yearbook, et j'ai rencontré ses parents. Ils sont tous adorables et je ne vais pas tarder à déménager chez eux. Et ce qui est bien, c'est qu'Hannah va au même lycée que moi, à Inspire School of Arts and Sciences !
Pour ce qui est de mon lycée, je n'étais pas sûre de pouvoir y aller en arrivant mais Amy a fait tout son possible pour m'y inscrire ! J'avais déjà rencontré le prof' de français quand Tatum et Daniel m'ont fait visiter le lycée. Ce prof' a l'air super cool ! J'ai donc fait mes deux premiers jours de "cours" les 18 et 19 août. J'ai choisi de prendre des cours de danse, gouvernement, recording arts, chorale, physique, théâtre, photographie et littérature. Je sens que je vais m'éclater ! (Je ferais un article plus détaillé sur mon lycée)
Sinon, ce week-end je suis allée à un parc aquatique près de Sacramento avec Hannah et la famille d'Amy pour fêter l'anniversaire d'Amy. C'était super drôle ! On a également été au baptême d'un de ses neveux.
J'ai hâte de vraiment attaquer les cours pour voir ce que ça fait de prendre des cours différents ! En plus, les lycéens d'Inspire sont super cool ! 🙊
When I got here, I have been told that they found a permanent family ! It's the Weber's family that is composed of Hannah (who is a Senior), Suzanne and Mike (the parents). So I met Hannah at the beginning of the week. I got along well with Hannah right away. A few days ago, I went to her home before going to the photo studio to make my Yearbook pictures, and I met her parents. They are all adorable and I will move to their house soon. And it's great because Hannah is going to the same high school as I do, to Inspire School of Arts and Sciences !
What about my school ? I wasn't sure to be able to go to Inspire when I got here but Amy has done her best to have me enrolled at Inspire ! I had already met the French teacher when Tatum and Daniel made me a little visit of the high school. This teacher seems really cool ! So I did my first two days of "school" on August 18th and 19th. I chose to take danse, government, recording arts, physics, acting, digital photography and literature. I think I'm gonna have fun ! (I'll make a post with more details about my high school)
Otherwise, this weekend I've been to a water park near Sacramento with Hannah and Amy's family for Amy's birthday. It was a lot of fun ! We also went to one of her nephew's baptism.
I really can't wait to start school to see how it is to take different classes ! And the Inspire students are really cool ! 🙊

So many changes in such a short time... and you ain't in your definitive family yet ^^'
But there with the first days of school your exchange year really begins, so just enjoy it !
You've forgotten to speak about your mobile phone's accident... would have made a cool anecdote to laugh about when the year will be done ;-)
