Almond Bowl
Vendredi soir a eu lieu le "gros match de football américain", entre les deux gros lycées de Chico : Chico High & PV.
Avant le match je suis allée manger au Bear avec Dasha puis nous sommes allées voir le match. L'ambiance était particulière dans les tribunes de Chico High, comparé à l'ambiance de fou dans les tribunes de PV, mais ça venait sûrement du fait qu'on perdait ... Mais je ne vais pas vous mentir, le football américain, c'est pas mon truc ^^.
Almond Bowl
Last Friday night was the "big football game", between the two big high schools of Chico : Chico High & PV.
Before the match, I ate at the Bear with Dasha then we went to the match. The atmosphere was special in Chico High's bleachers, compared to the lit atmosphere in PV's bleachers, but that may be because we were loosing ... But I'm not going to lie, football is not my thing ^^.
Sculpture de citrouilles
Samedi, à 17h, tous les étudiants d'échanges et les coordinatrices sont venus chez moi pour tailler des citrouilles pour Halloween. C'était vraiment drôle parce qu'on avait tous un peu de mal au début à trouver la bonne technique pour vider la citrouille (c'était bien dégueulasse aussi !). J'ai fait un chateau, bon j'avoue j'ai triché en utilisant un genre de modèle, mais c'était quand même pas mal au final.
Pumpkin carving
Saturday, at 5 pm, all of the exchange students and the coordinators came at my house to carve pumpkins for Halloween. It was really funny because we were all kind of struggling at the beginning to find the good technique to empty the pumpkin (and it was gross !). I carved a castle, well I admit that I cheated by using a kind of pattern, but it still was good at the end.
Labyrinthe de maïs
Après les citrouilles, on est tous allé à Orland pour faire un labyrinthe taillé dans un champ de maïs. Il y avait énormément de monde qui y allait ! Mais une fois à l'intérieur de labyrinthe, on ne s'en rendait plus compte.
Avec Emma, Sergio et Pedro, on s'était dit qu'on resterait ensemble dans le labyrinthe, mais dès les premières minutes, on a perdu Sergio. On était avec d'autres étudiants d'échanges pendant un bon moment puis des clowns nous ont tellement fait peur que le groupe s'est séparé en essayant d'y échapper. Avec Pedro, on a marché seuls pendant près de 15 minutes, dans un silence terrifiant, en étant surpris de temps en temps par une dame blanche, un clown ou une infirmière. On a même croisé une famille terrifiée se concertant : "On est tous ensemble, on va s'en sortir". Il y avait aussi un clown qui ressemblait comme deux gouttes d'eau au Joker dans Suicide Squad !
Vers la fin du labyrinthe, on a retrouvé notre groupe. On sentait l'odeur de l'essence et on commençait à entendre des bruits de tronçonneuse. Puis au moment où on ne s'y attendait pas, un clown a surgit devant nous puis a commencé à nous courir après, sa tronçonneuse à la main. On a tous couru le plus vite possible. D'une main je tirais Pedro, de l'autre je m'accrochais à Emma, et on courait !
Finalement, on a survécu et on est sortis sains et saufs, en rigolant, du labyrinthe.
C'était vraiment génial ! 🙊
NB : Les personnes dans le labyrinthe n'étaient pas autorisés à nous toucher, et les tronçonneuses étaient fausses. Même en sachant ça, sur le moment, on a tous peur ! ^^
Corn Maze
After the pumpkins, we all went to Orland to go to a corn maze. There were a lot of people who wanted to go in there ! But once inside, we couldn't notice all of the people anymore.
Emma, Sergio, Pedro and I said that we would stick together in the maze, but after the first few minutes, we lost Sergio. We were with other exchange students for a quite long moment, but then clowns scared us so much that we all split while trying to escape. With Pedro, we walked alone, just the two of us, for about 15 minutes, in a terrifying silence, being surprised from time to time by a white lady, a clown or a nurse. We even saw a terrified family closely gathering : "We are all together, we are going to be alright". There even was a clown that looked exactly like the Joker in Suicide Squad !
Close to the end of the maze, we found back our group. We could smell the gas smell and we started hearing the chainsaws' noise. Then at the least expected moment, un clown jumped in front of us and started chasing us with his chainsaw in his hands. We all ran as fast as possible. With one hand, I was pulling Pedro, with the other hand I was holding on to Emma, and we were running !
Finally, we survived and we all got out of the maze safe and sound.
It was so much fun ! 🙊
FYI : The people in the maze weren't allowed to touch us, and the chainsaws were fake. Even knowing that, we were all scared ! ^^
