Depuis 3 ans, Inspire organise un gala pour montrer au public et aux futurs étudiants potentiels toutes les capacités du lycée, tant dans l'art que dans la sciences.
For 3 years, Inspire has been organizing a gala to show tot he public and to the future potential students all the high school can do, in art as well as in sciences.
Le spectacle
On avait 2 spectacles samedi dernier : l'un à 14h, l'autre à 19h.
Toutes les classes et groupes d'art de la scène ont fait une performance : les classes de chant, les groupes acapella, les groupes & classes de danse, l'orchestre, les classes de théâtre & de comédie musicale, et même certaines classes de production vidéo !
Juste avant chaque spectacle, tous les chanteurs étaient réunis dans une salle, en rond, et notre prof' de chant nous a fait un speech d'encouragement tellement beau ! Et on sentait l'unité de tous les chanteurs.
Avec la chorale, on a chanté une chanson folklorique québécoise (J'entends Le Moulin) et un chant folklorique mexicain (La Llorona), qui était triste. Lors du spectacle du soir, on l'a tellement chanté avec émotion que notre chef de chœur était très émue, tout comme tu le public visiblement. Une personne a même lâché un "Whaouh!" à la fin. Ça m'a rendu fière du travail qu'on avait fait en tant que chorale !
The show
We had 2 show last Saturday : one at 2 p.m., the other one at 7 p.m.
All of the performing arts classes and groups performed : the singing classes, the acapella groups, the dance groupes & classes, the orchestra, the theatre/acting & musical theater classes, and even some video production classes !
Right before each show, all of the singers gathered in a room, in a cercle, and our singing teacher said such a beautiful a encouragement speech ! I could feel the bonding between all of the singers.
With choir, we sang a French-Canadian folk song (J'entends Le Moulin) and a Mexican folk song (La Llorona) that was sad. During the evening show, we sang it with so much emotion that our conductor was really emotional, and so was the audience so to see. One person even said "Whaouh!" at the end of the song. It made me proud of the work we did as a choir !

Entre 2 spectacles
Entre les deux spectacles, le public pouvait visiter la mini galerie artistique où étaient exposées les œuvres des élèves (photo, poterie, céramique, peinture, arts graphiques ...). J'ai eu 3 de mes photos exposées ! Il y avait également des petits stands où les clubs et les élèves montraient leurs projets. Il y avait également un Q&A sur l'école où des professeurs et des élèves répondaient aux questions des futurs parents d'élèves.
In between 2 shows
In between both shows, the public could visit the small art gallery where student's artwork was exposed (photo, pottery, ceramics, painting, graphic arts ...). I had 3 of my photos exposed ! There also were small booths where clubs and students were showing their projects. Moreover, there was a Q&A about the school where teachers and students were answering the questions of the future student's parents.
